Transcripts
University of Manchester only issues official transcripts once a year in late-July. Students on year-4 Fall exchange need to be aware as they cannot entertain requests for earlier transcripts for graduation.   

English Requirements
An English requirement is needed for applicants to the University of Manchester. IELTS score report must be submitted before deadline of the exchange application. Please refer to the below for details of acceptable English scores.  These scores must not be expired and be valid 8 months after the exchange application period.

English Language Evidence (EU) 2023 onwards

Overall Score – 6.5
Each Sub-scores cannot be lower than – 6.0

**TOEFL score of Internet-Based (iBT) 90 can also be accepted.

Accommodation Arrangement
There are only two guarantee housing spaces a year.

Course Registration
Semester exchange students to Alliance MBS must take a minimum of 40 ECTS. The maximum is 60 ECTS. HKUST students are permitted to take a maximum of a third of their workload in non-business courses. [Note: Semester exchange students taking 50 credits at Alliance MBS can enroll in a 10 credit non-business course, while exchange students taking 60 credits can enroll in 20 credits.]
