Wow, where do I even start? My semester abroad at HKUST created so many beautiful memories I will cherish for the rest of my life. I’ve always wanted to experience the world from a different place. Different people, different culture, different language - I got to do exactly that at HKUST. I made so many incredible friends from all over the world and got to experience the vibrant daily life of the people in Hong Kong. My professors were passionate and willing to help, and I learned a lot from them. This experience made me realize the world is so big, yet so small at the same time. You’ll create so many new relationships, but also realize that ties from home show up all over the world. I’m already looking forward to the day I can return!

The exchange programme is a once in a lifetime opportunity for most people. You’ll never be the age you are again travelling to a new country and finding your way around. This type of opportunity shapes you dramatically and enables you to grow in ways that you cannot imagine whilst staying in the comfort of your home and what’s familiar to you. You’ll meet new people, experience hardships and overcome them through perseverance, ultimately becoming a better version of yourself.
